Whether it’s writing, painting, or another creative endeavor, what drives me as an artist is becoming immersed in the process. What a wonderful place to be.
Why?
Because it’s a place free of judgment. A place to be silly, childlike, and to experiment. The idea is to absorb and release — without expectations.
Switch it Up!
I paint, sketch, create digital art, write in a notebook, write on the computer, and enjoy exploring, people-watching, gardening, and cooking for inspiration. The process can include a walk on the beach, a hike through the woods, or people-watching downtown.
Keeping a photo diary is an integral part of my process. Photos and video snippets are good for marketing. They’re also excellent resources to glean details I won’t remember.
