Sharon Stories: First drafts
I publish a monthly newsletter on the first Sunday, with links to stories from the previous month. This free subscriber newsletter includes links from all of the following Substacks.
Book 1 The Shift: Agents of Chaos | Science Fiction
What if AI agents started working together to create a new world order where humans were no longer in control?
This is the story of how that happened.
This science fiction serial is slowly coming together. I’ll be publishing episodes and posting with the Tome Tuesday crew beginning April 15th.
The Truth About Sadie Wilkins | Paranormal Fiction
Sadie recalls early memories of ‘the knowing’ and ‘the seeing.’
No one believes her.
It’s no wonder. Who would believe a 13-year-old with an overactive imagination claiming a demon had possessed Daddy and then compelled him to kill her Mama—much less that a ghost with unfinished business had helped her get rid of it?
Follow Sadie as she navigates a past that won’t die while living in a catholic school for orphaned girls.
Writer’s Process | Non-Fiction
Fist-impression reviews (for free subscribers). Posts on the writing craft and in-depth analysis for paid subscribers.
Short Stories
These are a mix of flash fiction stories from 500 - 1000 words and short stories from 1000 - 5000 words. For the most part, you’ll find tech horror and paranormal fiction. Occasionally, I’ll venture out of my comfort zone.
Micro Fiction: Stories up to 500 words
Micro fiction often kicks off larger stories for me. I love the inspiration I find in writing these tiny tales, so I figured they deserve a Substack of their own. There are posts for free subscribers, but paid subscribers can access the full collection, plus behind-the-scenes content.
Ghost Stories: Paranormal Adventures
I curate ghost stories here, with a free subscriber newsletter linking you to collections from The Antique Trading Post and A Haunting We Will Go. Collaborators are welcome! Subscribe and join the chat.
Tech Horror
Tech horror is a genre exploring the terrifying consequences of misusing advanced technology. Think rogue AIs, invasive surveillance, and digital realities gone wrong. It taps into our fears about losing control, privacy, or even our souls. Sometimes grounded in science, laced with the supernatural.
For Art’s Sake
Bear with me on this one. I’m cataloging a lifetime of art-making.
The Healing Rebel
This Substack comes with a warning label. I write about mental health and trauma healing. Although I want it to feel positive and empowering, healing is messy and the posts might be raw sometimes. I’m focused on creating a space with posts inspired by therapy and reading about mind/body relationships. I also write micro confessions (creative non-fiction) to explore memories. I occasionally post free reads, but most of these posts are paywalled because they’re personal.
