Happy Sunday, Readers!
There’s not much new to report since I can’t get into the details of the book I’ve been diligently working on all week. I’d hoped to have it finished by Monday, but that’s not happening. The deadline for the first draft is February 9 (Friday), so I’m fine. I may still even get it finished early like I wanted to in the first place.
In other news, Part 5 of “The Truth About Sadie Wilkins” went out on Saturday as planned. Here’s a link to the Kindle Vella version, in case you haven’t seen it. The difference between Kindle and Substack is that with Kindle, you can pay per episode to read the story using Tokens. On the other hand, Substack is a monthly subscription. Either way, the first three Parts/Episodes are free to read.
The Truth About Sadie Wilkins
The graveyard seemed darker than it had the night before. The wind breathed heavily through the trees. But I was more worried about what Daddy might do than anything else. I figured I might as well see if the old mausoleum was opened. At least I could hide in there. The door was heavy, so I used my whole body to push. It didn't budge at first. But I gave it another hard shove, and it swung open so fast I fell through the door. Then it slammed behind me, the sound echoing off the empty walls.
